Music To Watch Markets By

A selection of carefully curated, thematic playlists to add some flavor to your trading day. Notice that each playlist does not repeat artists, in the hopes of broadening your musical horizon.

Check back occasionally for updates.

Aggressive Gaps

Legends of the guitar arena known for setting strings a fire with the hottest licks known to mankind. Get fired up for this gap. Get in the zone for this gap. Enjoy the shred and let the energy power you through to target. Lemmy wants a full close.

Stuck in Balance Blues

For when markets can’t seem to get out of their own way. Kick back, grab a hot cup of coffee and just ebb and flow with the blues. Don’t force it, B.B. King, the King, wouldn’t approve.

Upbeat Trend Days

When the trades are just flowing, setups are clean, and the money is coming in green. We can hope that this one turns into a heavy rotation!

Strategic Cyphers

Nothing can beat the lyrical mastery of the 90s era. MCs of that time were as strategic with their words as you should be with your strategy. Take a page from the LP’s book, and study up.

Lunch On The Porch

Step away from the screens and enjoy the back porch for lunch. Some classic tunes that pair nicely with a tall glass of sweet tea and hearty home made sandwich. And hey, if you’re into a glass of whiskey at noon before heading back to the desk, theres plenty of songs for that here too.

Power Hour Classics

All the names you know and love to carry you through that last hour of the day. This one speaks for itself.

The Volcker Tapes

Its October 1986 and the terminal rate is finally back down under 6%. You just left the office in your 1975 BMW e30 convertible. Pop in the cassette and enjoy the ride home, the Volcker era is coming to a close.

Sell In May Go Away

If Spotify had the Reggae Sunsplash 1981 album, it would be as simple as that. Sugar Pie live on the record is perhaps the best recording of the song to ever grace my ears. The Mover, sister Carlene Davis singing “The Harder They Come” is one for the history books as well. Highly recommend getting the CD or finding it online.

The Inevitable Loss

One trip through this playlist is enough. Heavy words being spoken on this one.
